Norfolk documentary wedding photography, a DIY marquee wedding and the local church - Samantha & Jacob

I loved photographing Samantha & Jacob’s Norfolk countryside DIY wedding. It was a special one as the reception was in the garden of Samantha’s parents’ house, and her childhood home. And the church they married in was a stone’s throw away in the local village.

The whole reception was completely built from scratch and literally started as a garden lawn, so you can imagine the amount of work that went into it.

I started at the family home with Samantha and her bridesmaids to document the couple of hours before the ceremony, then headed just up the road to the church in Beeston-next-Mileham to photograph their church ceremony. Then we all headed back to the house for a lovely wedding reception and a big party with a string quartet for the earlier parts and a live band for the party. The first dance was epic with a choreographed routine that wowed all of the guests!

Here are some of my favourite photographs from Samantha & Jacob’s Norfolk countryside wedding.

The main suppliers were:

I like to include a lot of photographs in my blogs, rather than just selecting the absolute best few, to give viewers a good overview of the wedding gallery, so you’ll find images from each part of the day. Please do scroll down to see photos from the wedding ceremony, drinks reception, speeches, relaxed portraits of the couple and the party, after the prep and pre ceremony photos.

This is still only roughly 10% of the full wedding gallery.
