Lincolnshire documentary wedding photography at Scrivelsby Walled Garden - Izzy & Liam
Izzy & Liam’s wedding was my kind of wedding! To be honest, I find that all of the weddings I do are exactly ‘my kind of wedding’, but still this was an epic wedding that I absolutely loved being a part of. It was an incredibly fun day, with lots of friends, music, ice cream sandwiches, outdoor speeches (I loved this, the atmosphere during the speeches felt incredibly fun and relaxed with everyone being gathered outside, rather than in formal seating).
One thing that resulted in many fun moments (and therefore fun photos, from my perspective) was the walking band. During the drinks reception a trio from the booked band (Hand Fulla Soul) walked around the different groups of people taking requests and playing music. It was incredibly fun and I really think having entertainment like this plays a huge part in the enjoyment of the guests. The same band had a duo during the ceremony and a full band in the evening (which made for a packed dance floor).
Izzy & Liam both got ready at Scrivelsby Walled Garden’s accommodation (Lion Gate Lodge) opposite the venue, so I photographed the bridal and groom preps together, whilst Scott started over at the church to get shots of people starting to arrive. The church is on the same estate, and everyone can walk over to the walled garden afterwards, it’s lovely how self contained everything is at Scriveslby Walled Garden, it’s the perfect wedding venue.
