France, January 2018
Scott and I realised we both had a whole long weekend off without any plans at all, a rare occurence, so we wanted to make the most of it and do something fun. We have a couple of friends in rural France and as flights were still relatively cheap (for very last minute flights) we decided to go.
Our friend, Chrissy, works on an alpaca farm near a tiny village called Manot in the Poitou-Charente region of France. The farm is run by a lovely couple, Ginny and Nigel, who have been alpaca farmers for many years and know everything you could possibly want to know about the furry creatures.
We had some pretty bad weather whilst we were there, however we were very lucky to get a bit of sunshine on the first morning whilst we helped out at the farm (OK, I admit, I didn't really do any helping, I was taking photographs of the alpacas).
Frizzle the dog (mini, alpaca, yes?).
A walk around Manot.
La Cour. Our friend, Wal, is opening up a B&B in Manot, I'll share the website as soon as it's up and running.
